Thrush is a vaginal infection with a yeast-like organism called Candida albicans. It does not pass through the cervix and cannot, therefore, injure the fallopian tubes or affect fertility in any other way. It can make sex very sore, but this is unlikely to be bad enough to prevent intercourse altogether. It is usually easily treated with creams and pessaries. The tablets used to treat thrush should be avoided in pregnancy.
