The laser can be used to treat a number of conditions in and around the uterus. If you have been treated for abnormal cells in your cervix, there should be virtually no barrier to your future fertility, but if the laser was used at a laparoscopy because of adhesions around your uterus and fallopian tubes, there may be a problem. The seriousness of the problem would then depend on just how much damage had occurred to your fallopian tubes before the laser therapy. The worst chances of pregnancy would be if the laser was used inside your uterus in order to treat heavy periods. In this case, it would be unlikely, and some would say unwise, for you to conceive again. Most women who have this form of therapy are sterilised at the same time because they have completed their families.
