A few women just ‘know’ almost instantly that they’re pregnant. For others, it’s a leap of faith until they have physical signs of pregnancy. The signs and symptoms of pregnancy are very individual, and vary from woman to woman, and pregnancy to pregnancy. Many women experience breast changes – tenderness, fullness – within the first month of pregnancy (that is, before the next period would have been due). You may also notice changes in taste and smell, and/or start to feel sick around the same time. On the other hand, some women feel no different at all for several months – so try not to worry if you don’t have the usual symptoms of early pregnancy. Everybody is different.
